The Observer printed a contract for newly arrived Germans using peennase characters on a linotype managed by a mostly English staff. Despite language barriers and no German characters in the office, the job was completed to Mr. Sebbelov of Amalgamated Sugar satisfaction. It is noted as possibly the first German work produced in an exclusively English Oregon office.
