Social and musical notices brighten Good Fellowship night
The Good Fellowship league met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Co. BR. Thornton with refreshments and a pleasant social evening. The Eastern Star held a session initiating two candidates Miss Bertha Berger and Mrs. Luin Berger followed by ice cream cake and coffee and spring flower decor. A reception by Rev. and Mrs. Upton H. Gibbs for Bishop Paddock featured calla lilies and cherry blossoms and light refreshments as parish members visited. Mrs. John Thelgen hosted a birthday lunch for her sister with apple and cherry blossom decor and a guest list including several local residents. A violinist performance at Hue-Jat music store drew a crowd, highlighting a century-old violin. Mr. Herman and Mr. Bruce were announced for a concert at Hot Lake. Mrs. W. H. Rush celebrated her daughter Elizabeth’s fifth birthday with red and white decor and a luncheon. A note mentions a missing page in the copy about the Lyle Tuesday Musical, but lists musical numbers performed by local artists.
