The heart leads you into scrapes the head must exit
A reflective quip notes the heart often drags a person into trouble, from which the head later must intervene to salvage the situation. This wry line emphasizes the unpredictability of passion versus reason.
Markets Rest Peacefully as Wet Weather Spurs Crops
The local markets show little change with a calm tone, though butter and eggs slip. Prolonged wet conditions boost crop growth, suggesting grains may resist drought later, while a long list of prices for produce, dairy, and livestock appears from May 19, 1908, with numerous firm figures and bartered goods.
