In Cleveland Ohio on May 18 Mrs Freda Bauer was shot dead at 9 am at John Hapner home. Her husband John Bauer 45 is charged by witnesses with the crime. Bauer followed Mrs Bauer to probate court with their abused 19 year old child. He entered the Hapner residence and fired three shots the third hitting his wife. He fled but was captured by officers near Kingsbury Run. As they restrained him he shot himself behind the right ear and was taken to a hospital.
