May 8 Recorders Session Varied With Several Convictions
At the May 8 session of the city recorder's court about fifteen cases were heard. Calvin C Tessener faced improper license plates and noise. Wilson Harper, a 15 year old, was found not guilty on unlicensed driving and referred to juvenile court. Chester Smart was jailed seven months for no license and improper muffler. James E Austin forfeited $40 bond for no license. Curtis Blalock paid fines for failing to stop at a stop sign and James P Daves faced illegal possession for beverages. Writs Fields, Dees, and others involved in possession for sale were not guilty. a robbery case named Pig Rance had unclear details. Judge W Patson presided.

Two Men Fined In Kings Mountain PA Violation
Grover men Willie Alexander and Joe Davis were convicted of using a public address system on public streets in Kings Mountain. They were taxed with court costs. The session also taxed Leroy Wood for operating a vehicle without an operator's permit. Logan Davis was ordered to serve two months for disposal of mortgaged property.

Firms Will Close During Church Hours on Sundays
