German farmer in Fulton quarrel ends in assault case
Henry Getts a 62 year old German farmer and Charley Woodrow a young neighbor fought near Cates in Fulton township after Woodrow allegedly attacked with a neck yoke. Getts swatted Woodrow with a neck yoke and Woodrow obtained a warrant for assault with intent to murder. Deputy Sheriff Adkins served the papers. Getts posted bond and the case proceeds to circuit court.

Mrs Schoonover Hurt at Cutler Hotel in Frankfort
Mrs Schoonover wife of Hon Judge Schoonover was badly sprained when she missed a footing on a short stair in the Cutler hotel Frankfort while returning from Marion after attending a state board of charities meeting. A nearby physician gave prompt aid and she later returned home with her husband.
