Death of Edgar Harvey at 23 Shocks Tangier Community
Edgar Harvey died at his mother's home near Tangier after a sudden illness believed to be typhoid, with post mortem revealing an enlarged liver and a largely missing left lung. He was 23, survived by his mother, three sisters Lena Elsie and Edith, and brother Guy. funeral at Tangier and burial at Rush Creek cemetery. He graduated from local high school in 1909 and was the family’s chief support for years.

Splendid Concert Opens High School Lecture Series
Saturday night the opera house hosted the first of this year's high school lecture course with four strong numbers. Miss Lillian Johnston impressed as a vocalist and Miss Irene Marmain delivered a moving reading of Polly of the Circus. Clayton Conrad, a cartoonist, drew engaging musical interpretations and witty sketches while contending with a personal family crisis as his mother neared death and he hurried to Michigan after the performance.

Fred Spencer Dies at Home in Hol landsburg
Frederick Blaine Spencer son of John F and Abigail Spencer died at his parents home in Hol landsburg last Saturday after a brief illness from pulmonary tuberculosis. He was born May 14, 1883 and served two years as principal of Bellmore High School. A graduate of Indiana State Normal and Indiana Law School he practiced law in Indianapolis before being brought home last July. Funeral at Mount Moriah Monday at 11 with Rev S K Fuson presiding. He was well known in the area and had visited here multiple times.
