Report shows the bank’s condition at close of business May 20, 19 7 with assets and deposits listed. Names John M Bonebrake and Scott Be Ratcliffe appear as cashier and assistant cashier in the bank officers section. Deposit figures include individual deposits on demand totaling 36,422.18 and other totals such as discounts and deposits on hand.
C L Woody sells the best grade of harness with Woody promising good service. Visitors Ratcliff Massey and Jackson were in Covington Tuesday. E S Wilkey heads to Roswell New Mexico for about ten days. Local residents attend school commencements and church services. Town notices urge cleanup of Kingman alleys.
Monday night a large portion of the old band returned for a rehearsal and the effort to organize a permanent town band progresses. A meeting is planned for tonight with hopes of organizing, inviting any horn player to join, as merchants pledge support and a free rehearsal space is offered.

The Indianapolis Star crowned Miss Ura Shoaf of Wallace as Indiana’s most beautiful young woman in a state beauty contest. Shoaf, 17, recently attended Crawfordsville High School and will graduate next month. Her parents D C and Mrs Shoaf are noted Wallace residents with local telephone business ties. the Wilkinson family of this city celebrated both first and second prize winners, Miss Shoaf and Miss Maud Cunningham, cousins respectively of Mr. Wilkinson and Mrs. Wilkinson.
Mrs Irene Redman sues Fidelity and Casualty Co of Philadelphia for 5000 damages in the death of Walter Redman drowned May 15 1905 in the Wabash river while employed by Attica Bridge Co during Riverside bridge construction. Attorneys are Stansbury Billings of Williamsport and A E Yount of this city.
Mrs. Andrew Baker died at her home two miles northeast of Cates on Friday at age 42 years. Her death followed intense suffering and was described as a relief. She leaves a husband a son a father three brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held Sunday at the residence by Rev. J. M. McHargue and interment was in Harveysbury cemetery. W M Wilkey W R Massey Fred Moore Floy Barker and Fred Bais attended a Modern Woodmen district meeting at Veedersburg on Wednesday.
