Judge Schoonover sentenced Crane to one to eight years for larceny, with prior cases showing Mort Crane receiving ten to twenty years for burglary. A Colt pistol tied to Covington was found on Crane, and an attempted felony charge was recorded.

Mrs Grant Goddard Dies At 48 In Tangier
Mrs Grant Goddard died Tuesday of insanity at her daughter Mrs Vern Aldersons home near Tangier. She was 48 years old and mother to one daughter and Hershal Todd from a former husband. She leaves a husband two step sons and many relatives. Funeral services were held at the Friends church in Tangier Thursday forenoon with burial in Tangier cemetery.

He married Mary Jackson March 17 1803 and had four sons William L John W James M and Robert E two sons predeceased him. He moved from Indiana to Fountain County settling in forested land with a reputation for sobriety cheerfulness and hard work. Burial followed at Rush Creek after services by Revs A J Marshall and David Commons.

Forest Bunch of Veedersburg aged about 13 was arrested Tuesday near Independence on charges of stealing $8 from a Veedersburg business. Police traced him from Attica to his grandfather’s farm, then brought him back for juvenile court, as reported by the F. & W. Democrat.

Appointed Administrator Named for Local Estate
Robert J. Miller of Jackson township is appointed and qualified as administrator of the estate of his son in law Alex Starnes who died Wednesday of last week.
