Barn Fire Near Tangier Touched Off by Suspected Fire Bug
In Tangier vicinity excitement rose after a large barn owned by Wm E Swaim burned about 1 am Tuesday two miles east of town. Horses were freed, the house spared, and holes bored in weather boards to saturate with coal oil before ignition. Bloodhounds traced to Geo Swaim's home, but investigators deem the case still unsolved.

Young Man Shot Near Waynetown Mystery Continues
Clarence Parish was shot in the right side near Waynetown last Monday night as he returned to his shed after visiting Miss Swisher. A 22 caliber bullet entered above the lung but glanced off a rib, knocking him down. he recovered consciousness and notified his parents. Bloodhounds from Danville failed to yield clues, and no arrests have been made.

Wallace high school has applied to the state board of education for a commissioned four year course and expects approval. Superintendent Earl D.
