Indictments in Vermilion County Transfered Prisoners to Newport
State of Indiana versus Robert Thomas charged with murder of Pleas Delp at the Luther McIntyre mine Sugar Creek January 9 and Jack Thomas indicted as an accessory before the fact have been moved to Vermilion county. An order transfers both prisoners from the county jail to Newport on April 10 for trial with numerous witnesses to be examined.

Mrs Kate Beck Dies After Short Illness at 65 in Yeddo
Mrs Kate Beck wife of the late John Beck died at 4 15 yesterday morning at her home in Yeddo after a brief illness. She was 65 and mother of two Edgar Shoat of this place and Ed Beck of near Yeddo. Funeral services will be at 10 o clock Saturday at the home with burial in Centennial cemetery.
