Boy Shot While Hunting on Silver Island
Simeon Bever fourteen year old son of Albert Bever of Fulton township on Silver Island was fatally shot Wednesday afternoon while hunting with neighbor Arthur Dunn. The gun discharged as he attempted to climb a fence, burning his clothes and causing a fatal wound. Coroner Sullivan ruled accidental death. Funeral services were held Friday at Rockfield cemetery near Veedersburg.

Former Kingman Man Clarence Poland Dies After Illness
Clarence Poland, former electrician on the Kingman interurban project, died Saturday in a Marine City hospital after an appendectomy operation. He fell ill while working on his farm near Middle Inlet two weeks earlier. He was 29, son of Dr. and Mrs. B. J. Poland of Danville Illinois. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at his parents home.
