Kezia Marks Woody died in Kingman Indiana August 17 1913 aged 72 years 7 months and 23 days She was the fourth daughter of James and Jane Marks born December 25 1840 in Liberty Township Parke County She married Levi Woody September 30 1860 and had four sons W B O P M T and F L Woody with Frank Lovejoy predeceasing She endured breast cancer four years with patience and faith converted April 9 1868 at Heath School House Parke County Funeral at Rush Creek Church August 19 rites by Rev Ira Newlin and Albert M Tonlin son burial with son F Lovejoy in Rush Creek cemetery Card of Thanks from Levi Woody and children

Prorating License Fees Under New Act
Secretary of State U G Ellingham says license fees for autos motorcycles and chauffeurs will be prorated over the remainder of the year under the new act. August rates are five twelfths, September four twelfths, with renewals due at year end. About fifteen thousand licenses issued but only half acted on due to missing license plates. Fees due by January 1 1913 range from 2 10 to 10 40 dollars with special reductions during the remaining month.

Voting Machines to Be Recommended for Fountain County
Fountain County officials revive support for voting machines. Commissioners plan to ask the County Council in September to fund 16 machines, at 750 dollars each, paid from annual election savings with 5 percent interest on deferred payments. The plan halves precincts from 31 to 16, speeds results, and reduces election board costs.

State Auditors Find Fountain County Books Well Kept
J B Anderson and O C Hendricks state accountants from the State Board of Accounts spent ten days auditing Fountain County books at Covington and expect to finish this week with two years of records in the auditor and treasurer offices. They note banks are among the best seen and the system is so complete audits are quick. At Fowler they uncovered a $280 tax shortage credited by the treasurer and later recovered. The treasurer also had an overplus of $7468 in the bank, traced to a stray item finally corrected.
