Lusk Estate Sale Draws Massive Crowd in Turkey Run
Howard Maxwell, administrator for John Lusk, held a large sale of the hermit’s personal effects last Thursday attracting an estimated 5,000 visitors. The house held relics and curios, stock included five gray horses and farm tools, while guards protected items as spirited bidding occurred. Auctioneers Burk and Madden led the sale. debts were listed at $25,000 against ample property to cover them.

Veedersburg Superintendent Bavis C Nay Dies
Bavis C Nay longtime Veedersburg school superintendent died after a two week illness with peritonitis at a hospital in Indianapolis. Born 1877 in Henry County Indiana Nay held degrees from Earlham College and Indiana University and was a member of the Christian church Phi Beta Kappa and Odd Fellows. Survived by a widow and three children the funeral was held in Veedersburg with services in Springport and burial at Mt Summit cemetery.

Thomas Murder Trial Set For June Seventh
The Newport Hoosier State reports the Thomas murder trial will begin on June 7 in Vermillion County. Robert Thomas is charged with killing Piez Delp at the Macintire coal mine, with his father Jack Thomas accused as an accomplice. The case was moved from Parke to Vermillion and will draw heightened interest.

High School Commencement Exercises in Opera House

Former Kingman Woman Dies in Muncie Indiana
Mrs Malinda Durman widow of the late Thomas Durman formerly of Kingman died Friday in Muncie Indiana. She was a longtime leader in the M E Ladies Aid Society and remained active in the group during her Kingman years. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago.
