Mrs Rebecca Laird of Kankakee Illinois died suddenly at her room in a cafe where she worked. She was 52, survived by two sons James and Everette and a daughter Mrs Everette Clements, plus four brothers. Her funeral was in Ainshore with Mr and Mrs R B Myers attending.

The People’s Mail Order Company of Indianapolis was incorporated last week in Indianapolis with $600000 capital. The incorporators are Wm. La Baw and Guy Haas of Veedersburg and Lee Philpott of Covington. Two thirds of stock is preferred and one third common. Frank P. Tooker died at his home west of the place last Sunday after a short illness with pneumonia. He was 62 and lived alone on a small farm. Neighbors noticed no smoke from the chimney and found him in bed. A doctor and medical aid were unable to save him. The body was taken to Sidell, Illinois for burial.

Death of Jesse Barker at 19 in Grange Corner
