Raymond Manchester dean of men states that fraternities and sororities may take in non members who are university students as housing is short due to war industries. No official ruling yet but inter fraternity council may approve at its next meeting.
Registrar E C Stopher reports fall enrollment near seven year low with 1 483 total after 994 upperclass and 489 freshmen and transfer students. He doubts reaching the pre registration estimate of 1 700 as war demand continues to affect student numbers.
Three courses will be added to the autumn schedule. Typing 142 meets noon in room 209 Merrill hall for five days a week three hours credit. Shorthand 246 meets 11 a.m. in room 314 Merrill. Art 260 drawing for scientific purposes runs 10 to 12 a.m. two days a week. See Elmer Novotny before Friday to enroll.
