Rehearsals Begin for University's Messiah Performance
The University opens its seventh annual Messiah rehearsals with the first meeting at 7 p.m. in Merrill Hall room 312 led by Fred H. Denker. Funds are unsure but soloists from outside the University will sing leading roles and glee club members are invited to join. The performance is set for Sunday December 13 in the University auditorium and attendees may also see the Don Cossack performance.

Miller Announces First Sport Dance at Robin Hood
The Second Story Stamp dance launches Tuesday night as the first in a series of sport dances in the Haven upstairs at the Robin Hood. They aim to fill gaps caused by tire gas and entertainment shortages with dancing from 7 30 p m to curfew. Admission is 15 cents per person or 25 cents per couple.

KSRW Plans Seven Scripts for University Broadcast
Students will resume broadcasts November 3 at 4 30 p m from the University Workshop over station WADC Akron. Howard C Hansen director announced. Seven scripts for the first quarter will feature at least four University departments with a basic theme. The first program may present Kent State as a university and its role in the all out effort, per Bob Raful assisting in writing.

Officers To Explain Enlistment Benefits
Representatives of five armed forces branches will explain enlistment and reserve corps opportunities to university men at a all men convocation in the auditorium tomorrow at 10 a m Pres. K C Leebrick announced yesterday. Each service branch will hold an individual meeting after the convocation to resolve any remaining questions. All men will be excused from classes to attend.

University Aids In Training Program for Naval Officers
The university offers a special year end midshipmen class for graduates under 27 or seniors graduating by Jan 1 1943 to become commissioned naval officers. Candidates need a year of college math. those not yet qualified may join if they complete the course within 90 days after enlistment. Penny Drive to Publish Patron List Soon
