Kent State editorial reports students oppose the student council decision to cut the Stater budget from four to three weekly editions. The poll shows majority support four issues, despite allocations committee cuts and university fund transfers.
Nicholson arrived at KSU in September 1945 to lead the music program after serving as head librarian at Fenn College and reference librarian at Dickinson College. Thomas E. Crothers is noted as Music Supervisor.

A separate committee plan includes appointing deans and student reps to Who's Who.
