Two Students Injured Serenading Sorority House
Newton Falls sophomore Bill Gilronan and Barberton junior Russ Gillis were assaulted by a plain clothes officer while serenading the Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. Gilronan suffers a neck bruise and is recovering. Gillis was struck in the midriff. The officer, believed to be F W Boland, took them to the police station for a formal talk and they were released after the sorority intervened. Police chief F R Grubb calls the incident a farce and says the officer was stationed nearby due to burglar scares. Gilronan rests at the university infirmary and is expected to be released today.

A Sam Moore and Company photographer in Cleveland photographed 13 Kent State students aboard a bus with a new fluorescent lighting system. He did not record names, but one image was used in advertising, prompting a request to locate the students with a print posted on President Leebrick’s bulletin board.

Plans for Akron trek stadium migration
Final arrangements for the football migration to the Akron Rubber Bowl on November 9 are announced by Elizabeth Tucker chair of the migration committee. A car caravan led by special chartered buses will travel from University circle to the Rubber Bowl with 700 seats reserved on the 40 yard line. Tickets for round trip bus fare and game admission cost one dollar. students may buy reserved seats for 55 cents and must sign coupons for headcount.

Coed Band Begins Practice Under Merrill Hall
