Kent State Earns ACS Approval for Undergraduate Chemistry

Speakers Available To Groups
The University will start a faculty speakers service this fall to aid community groups in northeastern Ohio. A booklet listing speech topics and speakers will be published, with over 50 faculty members listed. Free copies go to requesting organizations and program chairs will get topic and speaker assistance from the public relations office. Confirmation notices and publicity materials will accompany engagements.

Enrollment Drops 13 Percent at Ohio College
Final enrollment reaches 5 036 with 800 fewer students than last fall quarter. Dr Charles E Atkinson registrar notes 272 extension students counted separately while 1 641 women and 3 395 men form a two to one male majority, 838 veterans attend, 1 150 first quarter freshmen include 410 liberal arts 407 education and 333 business administration. Freshman and Transfers Asked for Health Center Physicals
All freshmen and transfer students who have not yet taken their physical exams should report to the Health Center between 9 and 11 Thursday morning. The physicals take precedence over class schedules. Health Center hours are 8 a.m. to 4 30 p.m. after hours staffing.

An all University square dance will be held in the University school gym from 7 30 to 10 p m. Don Rand will be the caller. The event is being sponsored by ISA.

Energetic Manchester Recovers and Keeps Duty Despite Illness
Dean of men Raymond E. Manchester at KSU remained active during a three week pleurisy illness. His secretary Mrs. Helen Martinkus sent daily updates from his home as he prepared to return to the office. The 31 year veteran authored the popular Saturday Letters begun in 1935 and distributed to alumni and colleges. during World War I 4500 copies were sent to KSU servicemen.
