James N. Holm announces a Student Forensics Association meeting tomorrow at 4 p m in room 315 Kent Hall to organize the coming year. Freshmen and interested students will discuss debate questions including compulsory arbitration of labor disputes and the voting age reduction to eighteen.

Band Soloist Boosts Show Hopes For NTFC Production

Sgt. Edward T. Robinson, a 1941 University graduate, led a production at Salina Kansas army base theater before joining the fourth air force. He flew B 17 crews overseas, estimates 25 percent of his class have entered battle zones, and hopes to revive NTFC theater with Bud Gerber directing. He performed with Bob Crosby and Orrin Tucker bands and values his Bing Crosby friendship.

Report Flyers In Germany Safe, Curtiss Family Hears

Lieut Neil L. Curtiss, University student 1940 42, reported missing in action August 3 after his plane went down over Germany. He is now believed safe by his parents Mr and Mrs C Harold Curtiss of Kent. A former crew member who witnessed the action notified the parents that he saw the flier.

Parachute Hero Saved After Berlin Mission

Violet Gardner announced rush fees must be paid by 4 p m Thursday. Lieutenant Curtiss, 22, ex College of Business Administration student, was last seen Easter Sunday. A flier who served as tail gunner on Curtiss’s plane later relayed news via Blake C. Cook, Ravenna judge, after traveling through Kent.

OSU Announces Scholarships Across Fields and Deadline

Ohio State University offers fellowships in biological sciences geology engineering ceramics and radio communications for graduate students. Elizabeth Clay Howard scholarship awards 3000 and Muellhaupt biology scholarship awards 1400 to 1800 each to promote original botany physiology or zoology research. Eighteen rehabilitation and GI Bill students met at Kent State University to form a veterans organization. Bud Gerber, newly elected secretary, announced eligibility for any student who served in the armed forces. Ted Baskin was elected president with Clarence Tonka as vice president. officer elections and a constitution committee were planned.

A college body chose a secretary and Ralph Wilde as treasurer. Lawrence Stein, a senior in education, was elected sergeant-at-arms. The constitution committee will draft a constitution and select a permanent group name. Baskin noted similar clubs exist nationwide.
