Aviation Course Open to University Women
University women may enroll in the aviation course. The Civil Aeronautic Authority grants 10 percent of the quota for women. with a 40 student quota, four women may be accepted if they pass the physical. Men and women receive equal instruction and registration is today. 21 men have enrolled. many others expected. Students pay 40 dollars, government covers 20 for 72 hour ground instruction and 300 per student for planes and equipment. Insurance comes from registration fees. Flight physician Dr. H G Rubin will conduct exams. about two thirds of applicants may be eliminated. Instruction begins after exams and quota is filled.

Speech Secretary Resigns Position at Kent School
Mrs. Rose Fiorenzo announced her resignation Friday afternoon from the speech department secretary post. She came to Kent in 1927 with Dean Verder, later served under Dean Manchester from 1928 to 1933 except 1929 when she taught at Palmyra, then taught at Ashtabula schools 1934 to 1936 before returning to Kent as department secretary.
