Sixty new appointments to the faculty were announced by the board of trustees. Full time staff include ten associate professors fourteen assistant professors seventeen instructors and seven training school staff members. Dr Ralph E Hartzell head of the music department from Marysville Missouri joins after leading at Missouri State Teachers College. David McDowell named head basketball coach replacing Harry Adams who resigned to enter business. McDowell also to coach grid ends. New Swimming Coach Hoover Named for Kent College
Trevor Rees announced William R. Hoover as the new university swimming coach to relieve Wes Stevens. Hoover, 34, Ohio State graduate, comes from Paul Smith's College where he was athletic director and coach of multiple sports. Last season the 12 man swim team went 10-2 and placed third in the Ohio Conference. four sophomores and 17 freshmen join the program.
