Fred Prasse, Cas e student council president, said Case will not fund a football migration to Kent State due to cost. The committee shifts to a Western Reserve game on October 25 with bus travel and rail connections from Cleveland rail station to League Park as key factors in deciding the travel plan.
Dr. Lester H. Munzenmayer, director of NYA placement, said NYA allotments cut by the national government have not greatly reduced local appointments. The University allotment followed last year's enrollment and a smaller current need for part-time student employment.

Grace O Connor, a sophomore English major and drama minor, transfers from Mundelein College to attend classes at the University with courtesy from a U S Army car. She is the daughter of Lt Col John J O Connor, construction quartermaster at the arsenal.
One hundred fifty students attended the first social dancing class of the year in Wills gym. Beginners met 7:30 to 8:30 p m and advanced 8:30 to 9:30 with public dancing following.
Ralph Braden, head cheerleader, announced tryouts for three new cheerleaders tomorrow at 3 p.m. in the gym. Two men and one woman will be selected based on ability personality and school spirit.
Kent State University recalling its first Civilian Pilot Training Course member Bob Schwering now a United Airlines co pilot returned for a campus visit this week. Schwering and Wayne Wilkin were selected by a United scout from the 1940 summer training class at Akron airport.
Freshmen from Waterbury raised their class flag at 1 AM after a hand to hand clash with upperclassmen. The white banner bore the inscription Class of ’45 and signaled a reinstatement of Waterbury on the student council.
The Student Forensic association plans a public speaking extension at Kent this year to train student speakers and supply clubs with entertainment. Joe Hart leads the effort offering speakers readings plays and debates. Scheffel Peirce will direct the intramural sweepstakes contest involving campus organizations.
Quattrochi was elected president of the journalism student body at its first meeting yesterday. Lindy Barch and Marvin Eu Banks won the positions of vice-president and secretary-treasurer after a hotly contested election.
Goodyear expert R E Willett of Akron head of job standards and methods at Goodyear Aircraft speaks at 7 p m tonight at Silver Lake tavern dinner for KSU graduates in factor management. Outsiders may contact Prof Harold Nissley at Merrill Hall room 314 to attend. Lloyd Hines of Akron, 1941 graduate, is president of the group formed last spring to maintain factory activity contacts.
Rumors spread on campus that freshmen planned to rally with a so called 45 flag tonight. Six more first year students were arraigned before the Sophomore Moe Tribunal yesterday. The discipline committee led by Sophomore Proxy Ray Gallagher requested insubordinate frosh to serve in the Brady. They were induced to pledge loyalty by singing the Alma Mater.
Fred Prasse announced that Irving Waterbury will retain his junior class representative seat as his average exceeds two, while a second representative will be elected. The board has not ratified a related activity rule, leaving Waterbury ineligible for junior class president, and Miss Helen Rothermund will convene a class meeting to elect the slate.
University Defense Council launches weekly penny drive to fund delivery of Staters and college news letters to service members. First collection is Thursday with boxes in the atrium and lower halls. Dean Raymond E. Manchester seeks addresses of former KSU students now in military service.
Juniors announce a meeting called for 4 p m today in room 219 Kent hall with Helen Rothermund serving as junior class president.
A survey of Kent State University religious affiliation shows 515 Methodists leading campus representation, followed by 342 Roman Catholics and 160 Presbyterians. Other notable groups include Congregational 149, Lutheran 109, Episcopal 10, with smaller holdings across numerous denominations.
