Traffic Court Fines 172 In Four Hour Session

A four hour traffic court session resulted in fines for 172 of 191 tickets issued by University police. Eleven students attended, five others sent letters, with several violators facing multiple offenses. Some cases will be heard next quarter. fines fund the student allocation.

Kappa Sigma Nu Homecoming Week with Dance Football Game

An all university homecoming includes a 2:30 dance at the Portage hotel Akron from 9 to 1 with tickets 1.50 per couple. A parade to the intramural field precedes the GI Jag touch football game between Kappa Sigma and Sigma Nu. The series began in 1946 with Sigma Nu holding 3 wins to Kappa Sigma's 2.

Eleven New Members Pledged to Blue Key Honorary

National men's service group Blue Key has selected eleven pledges based on character service and scholarship. Studio Theatre Presents Three One-Act Plays This December

The University Theatre Studio Theatre presents three student written one act plays in a round setting on December 6 in 119 Kent. Mama's Boy directed by June Connors features Rice Hershey Barbara Curtis Joyce Meeks and Dorothea Keele. The Addict directed by Bill Morris stars Ellen Newmeister Aileen Bailey Dave Roberts and Sandra McIntyre. A Duel by Candlelight directed by Bob Smth features Dick Hartell Dick Egli Dick Johnson Lee Lucah and Walt Stampfli. The first play begins at 7 30 with no admission charge.

Chemistry Group Meets Here

The University Chemistry Department hosts the Northwestern Ohio Chemistry Teachers organization for a semi annual meeting tomorrow. The association includes high school and college chemistry teachers. The 1:30 afternoon session in 419 McGilvrey features talks and demonstrations by four KSU chemistry professors. Instruments used in science departments will be on display and the program is open to the public.

Savage Continues Run of The Curious Savage at UT

The freshman production The Curious Savage runs tonight and tomorrow at 8 15 in the university auditorium. Tickets for remaining shows are sold at the UT table between Kent Hall and the atrium. Coburn appearance Tuesday tickets cost 1 20 1 80 and 2 40 at the theatre office 314 and Thompson's Drug Store.

English Department Hour Card Registration Schedule

The registrar's office will issue hour cards on Wednesday for freshmen English courses. Seniors enroll in 300 and 400 level courses Monday, juniors Tuesday outside 206 M, and on Wednesday all 200 level courses open to sophomores. Upperclassmen must present an hour card to register for English 161 on Thursday and for English 109 159 160 162 and 162 Special on Friday.

Greeks Dance Sing Tonight At All-Greek Formal

Twenty fraternities and sororities attend the All-Greek formal at Moonlight ballroom Canton. The Alpha Phi sponsor hosts the 8:30 to midnight event in Meyers Lake with 24 Alpha Phi pledges presented by Elaine Horne. Sigma Nu serenades. chaperones include several faculty and Mrs. Har vey. Charlie Pickens and his orchestra provide music.

Ind Arts Hobby Show Set Sunday

KSA's Industrial Arts club will hold its third annual Hobby show this Sunday from 2 30 to 6 p m in Wills gym. An indoor aerial circus by the Rubber City Aeronauts will highlight the program with two performances depicting aviation progress through model planes. U controlled models will perform stunts alongside exhibits including a national prize winning telescope by Norman Alan of Warren foreign dolls guns weaving gems and a British MG sports car.

Six Members of Women’s League To Attend Ohio Convention

Six members of the Women’s League will attend a state convention Saturday at Ohio State University where Ohio government groups plan the IAWS national meeting. The national convention, last year at Purdue, is slated for May 1953 at Ohio State with Shirley Chambers, Charlotte Frolo, Mary Elaine Long, Patricia Long, Margie Owen, and Nancy Wilson representing Kent.

Pastor-Author Scheduled for Religious Week

Dr J Maurice Trimmer will headline Christian Living Emphasis Week January 13 17 at the Fifth Avenue Baptist Huntington W Va. He leads in Red Cross and Boy Scout work and will lecture on Science and Religion Christian Vocations Family Life and Christian Faith. He will also hold private conferences. The University Religious Council sponsors CLEW with leaders from Christian Science LSF UCF Wesley Kent Ministerial Association and the President's committee on Religious activities.
