Winter registration schedules and fee deadlines announced

Schedules for winter registration are available through Dec. 7 from advisors. Seniors register Dec. 3 followed by juniors Dec. 4 sophomores Dec. 5 and freshmen Dec. 6 and 7. Fees are due Dec. 17 and 18 at the Treasurer’s office. students must bring trial programs to the registrar.

Freshman Play Presents The Curious Savage Conflict over Money

The freshman production of John Patrick's The Curious Savage shows a family feud sparked by a memorial fund planned by Mrs. Savage. Her conversion of money to bonds triggers suspicions and lands her at The Cloisters, a home for the mentally imperfect. The cast includes Florence Hannibal Fairy May Jeffrey and more, with Earl E. Curtis directing. Tickets are 60 cents beyond activity-card admission.

Boosters Elect Jeff Barnard Vice President

Jeff Barnard was elected vice president of the Booster club at last night’s meeting. The group plans a basketball and football giveaway, both autographed, for lucky ticket holders. The balls mark Kent’s first year in the Mid American Conference and will be awarded at halftime of a home basketball game.

Square Dance Night Replaces Mid-Week Hop at Wills Gym

Square dancing replaces the regular Mid-Week hop at Wills gym tonight with an all University square dance. Students from the Chicago Square Dance festival will perform demonstrations. Admission is 25 cents.

KSU Reoffers Unique Atomic Age Course

KSU offers the Problems of an Atomic Age course again for all students with two hours credit and auditing option. The class runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 4 30 pm, features 25 plus faculty participants, and covers social political and diplomatic questions tied to atomic power and U S government developments.

Grammar Tests Schedule For Education Students

Students in the College of Education must take the grammar test on December 11. English 262 is required for all elementary and English majors or minors. Tests are at 8 a.m. in 307 Kent, 1 p.m. in 212 McGilvrey, and 4 p.m. in 108 Kent.

UT Schedules Cast Try Outs For Medea

Try outs for the University Theatre production Medea begin today at 2 p m and run daily until casting is finished. All students may audition for 20 roles with sessions 2 to 5 pm in Kent 119 and 7 to 10 pm in Kent 315. Performances are January 23 to 26.

Band Banquet Invites Alumni From Past 23 Years

Former KSU band members are invited to the annual banquet Friday December 7 at 6 15 p.m. at Twin Lakes country club. Roy D Metcalf director of the KSU twin bands can provide information. Movies of the Philadelphia Music festival performance and 1951 football shows are planned with a dance after the program.
