The university women’s glee club gave its first performance of the year at the Thanksgiving assembly. Miss Elfreda Littlejohn directed the group singing. Harold E. Files accompanied on the organ, with Virginia Nicholson presenting a violin solo. Rev. Chester B. Emerson spoke at the program.
The liberal arts curriculum committee fixed Monday November 26 as the deadline for department heads to submit materials for the catalog.
Opal Boffo announces tryouts for the play Enchanted Cottage on November 24 from 2 to 5 pm in the auditorium. A character list will be posted outside the speech office and play books may be signed out for a day at a time.

Social dancing is suspended this Wednesday due to Thanksgiving vacation announced by the K Vet social committee. Dancing will resume next week at Willsgym on November 28.
Dr. H. D. Byrne head of the political science department and Ohio senator will address the K Vet group on November 28 about The Work of the Ohio Veterans Program Commission. The commission, created by the 96th General Assembly, aims to aid about 900 000 veterans in education dependents placement and issues facing the disabled. It is over viewed by three legislators from each house and three governor appointees with three departments education rehabilitation and placement guiding its work.
Dr. George R. Bach head of the psychological clinic says results of men's guidance tests will be available starting Monday November 26 at 2 p.m. Office hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays for vocational interest psychological and personality tests. Women’s results will be tabulated by December 1 and the cost is covered by the initial testing fee of $1.50.
Fred Baker was named chair man of the bond drive sponsored by ISA. He will be assisted by Fred Ellis. They plan to sell bonds in a Kent theater booth. A social hour after the meeting was proposed, but a weiner roast and hay ride were dropped.
Four students vie for the freshman class presidency on Thursday November 29 with 19 candidates seeking seven freshman class and student council posts. Nominees include Bob Cone Wallace Krivey Frank Lee White Virginia Black L A Paul Brooks and Larry Heinrich for vice presidency. Elaine Gatts Janet Grant Barbara Humphrey Olga Jansa Jeanne Oddo run for secretary with five vying for treasurer and six for student council positions.
The Freshman Frolics stage show on Tuesday Nov 27 features the Lowry Hall choir performing Jerome Kern’s Smoke Gets in Your Eyes and LaRue Gray singing Might As Well Be Spring. Acts include singing dancing and swing band numbers with MCs Vinci Spatola and Bob White.
