The student council will present a newly approved constitution to students for a vote on acceptance or rejection without revision other than minor edits after the university board of trustees approved it last night.
Bob Cook announced that all campus organizations including fraternities and sororities must register their officers with Student Council this week. Officers lists may be deposited in the Student Council box at the registrar’s office.
Officials delay decision on reallocating student funds to pay for new tennis courts behind Wills gym pending official recognition. An official investigation is ordered. The annual Pig skin Prom is scheduled for Saturday Nov. 22. Thirty dollars is set aside for card tricks at the Akron game. Beat Akron.
Three Chi Pi members George Betts Gus Chigges and John Mine depart for New Orleans Louisiana to attend Sigma Delta Chi annual convention. They will seek a charter petition for a local chapter and observe the national fraternity’s activities.
More than 1,200 University women plan a Sadie Hawkins Day chase today to recruit willing male partners for tomorrow night’s dance at Wills Gym. The event features music by Johnny Lemak from 8 to 10 and prizes for best Li’l Abner impersonations judged by Kenneth Nichols. Chaperones include Harry Adams and the Hansens and Prestons.

Dr. Arthur H. Compton, head of physics at the University of Chicago, told about eight hundred students that sacrifice and cooperation are essential to freedom. He added defense weapons are part of national duties and would be developed if world events require it.
The University athletic policy committee declined to oversee student raised funds for an athletic scholastic tuition plan. Ray Moran proposed four two year scholarships to cover registration fees but the Ohio Athletic Conference rules prevented the fund from being considered.
