Ohio voters approve a veteran bonus amendment by over three to one. About 1 123 971 voting for and 365 074 against. The plan issues up to 300 million in bonds to pay out bonuses of 10 per month domestic service and 15 per month foreign duty from 1941 to 1945 with a $400 maximum. Bonds retire in 15 years via 12 million yearly from general revenue and an added real estate levy. An extra 3.64 per year per 5000 assessed value funds the difference. The legislature also earmarked 25 million in state revenues to aid bonus payments.

Burr Shoots Upperclassmen for senior and junior portraits
The Chestnut Burr began senior pictures yesterday and continues today and tomorrow with juniors invited to sign up at the table for a Chesshire photographer from Cleveland. December March June or August graduates should arrange a time next week, and all juniors must report to the student union by Friday to be listed in the 1948 Burr. On opening day only about 50 of 750 juniors appeared for photos.

Parking Lot Construction To Serve 1500 Commuters
President George A. Bowman announced a campus parking project to grade a lot at the northwest corner of Summit street and the south campus drive. 12 to 15 thousand cubic yards of earth will be moved, using gravel from an abandoned pit for a six inch top layer.
