Bricker Wins Third Term as Ohio Governor

Early returns show John W. Bricker elected to a third consecutive term, making him the first Ohio Republican governor to serve three in a row. Dr H D Byrne, head of political science, loses in the state senate race. Democrats hold most congressional seats despite GOP gains. Several Democratic governors are defeated by Republicans.

Group Attends Time Study Clinic in Chicago

Prof Harold Nissley associate professor of business administration and Delta Sigma Pi members will travel to Chicago for the National Time and Motion Study clinic. Nissley will be joined by students Art Durivage George Corden Bob Beck and Al Geigey with Delta Sigma Pi. Over 1500 industrial engineers are expected at the Medinah club two day event themed All Out for War Production. The trip includes tours of Western Electric King Pneumatic Tool and the fraternity national headquarters.

Erfley and Harris Tap By Honorary Pi Kappa Delta

Bernie Harris and Elizabeth Erfley were named by Pi Kappa Delta at a Student Forensic Association meeting. Erfley heads the debate division while Harris pursues oratory and debate. Initiation is planned. Herbert Myers leads a committee to revise the fraternity constitution for next meeting approval.

Servicemen Scroll to Be Dedicated at Kent State

Kent State will honor all former students and faculty now in the armed forces with a dedicated honor roll at an Armistice Day convocation November 11 at 8 p m in the auditorium. Ray mond Manchester dean of men will unveil the scroll with Dr. K C Leebrick Stan Mouse and Carol Sayers speaking. The event includes a guest speaker and music from the band and the Men's glee club.

Convocation Features Trio Of Speakers

Dr. Everett R. Clinchy Rev. Daniel B. Cronin and Rabbi Barnett R. Brickner represent the National Conference of Christians and Jews and speak at 10 a m in the university auditorium on unity for victory. They discuss harmony among Protestant Catholic and Jewish faiths during the war. Following the convocation, conferences run at 11 and 2 pm with open lunch at Robin Hood. Reproductions of old and modern masters from the University art collections are on exhibit at the university art gallery. Miss Nina M. Humphrey, head of the art department, said yesterday. Two copies of Rembrandt works are included, one featuring The Polish Rider.
