The 1948 Homecoming Queen slate features Ruth Anne Gallagher 20, Lois Musick, and Marilyn Taylor as finalists. Musick of Alpha Xi Delta majors in education and is active in Theater and clubs. Gallagher former Sebring queen and Delta Gamma secretary. Taylor Beta Gamma secretary and 1947 Burr Queen runner-up, with ties to Wesley Foundation and Pan-Hellenic League.

The Artist In Social Communication exhibition on the second floor of Kent hall features greeting cards by Gartner and Bender Inc. ROTC Movie Benefit At Schine’s Kent Theater

The university ROTC will sponsor a two film benefit at Schine's Kent theater on November 10 and 11 to raise working capital for the Military Ball. The program features So Evil My Love with Ray Milland and Ann Todd and Music Man as a co feature. Tickets cost 55 cents and are available from Corps of Cadets members.

Burr editor Germane Swanson announces junior sign up for Chestnut Burr portraits at the Kent hall entrance desk this week. Photos will be taken next week. Seniors must pay 1.50 at portrait time and appear at the scheduled time.

Portage Board Defines Student Voting Rules

Portage county board of elections outlined student voting rules under a new state act. Students entering school after Jan 2 1948 must vote in home precincts or by absentee ballot, while those before may vote where their school residence is. The act is not retroactive with residency requirements of one year in state and 40 days in county and precinct. Absentee ballots available for those over 10 miles from home precinct. The clerk said the law protects towns with colleges and does not strip students of their vote.

Homecoming Aims To Top 3000 Alumni At Bowling Green

Dean Raymond E. Manchester predicts over 3000 alumni will return for the 33rd annual Homecoming on November 6 at Bowling Green. The day includes open houses from noon to game time, a parade of activities, queen presentation with presidents on hand, a 9 pm dance with a 12 piece George Conway orchestra, and decorations coordinated by Delta Gamma and C Kurt Smolen.

Register For New Reading Classes

The reading clinic under Mrs Mildred L Nicholson directs new classes this week from 9 to 12 daily. Classes start next Monday. Students with reading difficulties may register at the clinic located at the southwest corner of the library basement.
