Gold Star Parents Donate Great Books to University
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Tataru of Cleveland presented a 55 volume set of Great Books of the Western World to Rockwell library at KSU in memory of their son Viorel, who served in World War II and died March 16, 1944. The gift accompanies the parents’ back pay check and personal contribution.

Campus Day Glides On Amid Light Rain at University
Rain did little to dull the campus celebration as Delta Upsilon crowned Eleanor Mann queen. Delta Sigma Pi and Lowry Hall won float and independent divisions while Sigma Nu led the fraternity winners. Indoor events moved to Longfest in the Auditorium and Wills Gym featured music by Russ Carlyle.

Musicians To Present Big Show
Dr. Ralph E. Hartzell will guest conduct a choral program at 8 15 pm in the Auditorium. The a cappella choir performs Bruckner Mass in E Minor joined by the University chorus for Bach Cantata No 28 O Praise the Lord For All His Mercies and Faure Requiem. Soloists Lorna Adams Clara Dyer Parke Wayne Cooley and Pete George. Louis P. Erch directs the orchestra with Robert Hull Foulkes directing. Open to the public.

Hartzell Piano Recital Set At Union Ballroom
Gene Hartzell son of Prof Ralph E Hartzell head of the School of Music will perform the last in a series of junior and senior recitals tomorrow evening at 8 15 in the Union ballroom. He will play Mozart Handel Hindsmith Brahms works and two intermezzos in a program of varied piano classics.
