Soccer Club Given Funds By BC Booster Club

The Booster Club executive committee approved a money appropriation for the soccer club. President Bill Reichard announced an advisory board meeting for Wednesday June 1 2020 at 4 p m to vote on a new president and to set committees for the coming year. Refreshments will be served and all campus groups may send delegates. An amendment to the Booster Club constitution will be presented.

Finance Bill Would Grant KSU 900 750

An Ohio house bill would allot Kent State University 900 750 as part of more than 60 million in capital improvements. The package funds a new university school with 750 000 and central heating plant expansion with 150 000.

Campus Day on Kent State Campus Promises Festivities

Kent State prepares a campus day lineup featuring coronations, a King and Queen reveal, a 12 45 p.m. K painting, a 1 30 p.m. coronation service, a 2 30 p.m. float parade reviewed by the queen, and a 7 p.m. songfest with eight sororities and 11 fraternities on the campus lawn followed by a 9 p.m. dance in Wills gym with Ross Haley and his orchestra led by MC Harlan Hungerford.

Demos Urges Kent State Council to Join NSA

Councilman Pete Demos urged Kent State to join the National Student Association at a council meeting. He noted the Ohio regional NSA meeting May 21 supported the move. The next NSA convention is planned for Illinois from August 24 to September 1. Jerry Ott was named to the allocations committee to explore a campus literary magazine. Let’s Go to Rowboat Regatta.

The Kent State University radio workshop will present The Tomorrow Man by Leo Damore this Saturday at 10 a.m. on WAKR. Directed by Rick Morris, the cast features Norma Remmy and Ernie Mauer in lead roles with Jackie Gelbman John Cotterill Ed Halas and Ara Carapetyan in support.

WAA Picnic Set For Thursday

The annual WAA picnic will be held in Engleman woods Thursday June 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. Every girl on campus is eligible to attend. Tickets cost 35 cents may be purchased in Kent hall. New WAA officers will be installed and the participation cup awarded. The final softball tournament game will be played prior to the picnic.

Moulton Players Injured in Head-on Softball Collision

Two Moulton residents suffered injuries in a head-on collision on the women’s athletic field during a softball game last night. They were taken to the student health center and their condition was not available at press time.
