SC To Fill Thirty Positions Next Week

Harry Moldovan president of Student Council announced 30 open committee posts for next year. Applications due by 4 p.m. Tuesday with letters listing name experience qualifications and committee applied for. Selections to be made Thursday May 31 at 4 p.m. Several committees and seats detailed including Greek requirements for Traffic court and Elections pending fall, with several appointments to be made across Social, Allocations, Assembly forum Entertainment intra mural athletics and Student-Faculty Relations.

Ivory Tower theme highlighted at Scholarship Day awards

Delta Gamma wins the scholarship trophy for the second year running at the nineteenth annual Scholarship Day. Chi Omega and Delta Zeta follow. Phi Beta Phi leads the fraternities with Theta Kappa Phi and Alpha Epsilon Pi in second and third. Dr. C Stanley Corey defends the ivory tower as a refuge for focused study and its social usefulness.

Burr vouchers distribution ends this week

Ted Chernak, Burr business manager, announced this is the last week for Burr voucher distribution. Vouchers are handed out daily from 9 to 11 and 1 to 3 in the hallway beside the Booster booth, and Burrs are distributed each day from 9 to 11 and 1 to 3 at the University warehouse. ROWBOAT REGATTA.

KSU Women’s Band Seeks Trumpeters for Philadelphia Trip

Two trumpet players are needed to fill vacancies in the Kansas State University women's band for their trip to Philadelphia. June 45 is the target date, confirmed by Prof. Roy D. Metcalf, band director. Any qualified university woman should contact Professor Metcalf at 307M.

Senior Women Banquet marks start of Commencement week

Senior activities for more than 800 graduates begin with the senior women's banquet at 6 30 p m in the Union. The events run through June 9 with a final combined commencement ceremony and academic procession starting at 9 30 a.m. June 9.

The Kent Stater selects summer and fall student editors and managers. William D. Taylor chairs the publishing policy committee with Jim Butler editing this summer.
