The Lambda Phi women’s journalism honorary sponsors a picnic in the university woods this evening from 5 to 7 p m. About 30 attendees are expected to help freshmen women in the school of journalism get acquainted. Committee heads are Winnie Eyre and Berta Ker with Merry Allen and Cornelia Porena nen assisting.

Kent State Rowboat Regatta Set for June First
Kent State University will host its annual Rowboat Regatta on Saturday June 1 on the Cuyahoga River in downtown Kent. Regatta Announces Second Annual Kent Rowboat Race
The Kent Regatta event grows as townspeople and students watch from Main Street bridge and riverbanks. Organizers partner with The Kent Stater and Kent University groups including the Kent administration, Chamber of Commerce, and fire and police departments. Applications to enter go to Jack Watts by May 25 and teams from fraternities sororities clubs or campus organizations are eligible. Each boat may have up to two rowers or one if desired, and all entrants must swim and pass a swimming test. Boats need not follow a specific design or length.

He urged students using the west entrance from Lincoln street to use the new stairway and noted grass and shrubs planted.
