Choir To Sing For Parents Sunday At 3

Thirty five voices of the university A Capella choir open National Music Week with a 3 PM Sunday concert in the university auditorium. The program features works by Bach and other composers with soloists Clara Biasella Irving Waterbury Nelson Llewellyin and a string trio. admission is free and seating is unreserved.

Seniors Arrange Last Minute Commencement Orders

A table will be set in the atrium today and tomorrow from 2 to 5 p m for last minute orders as many seniors have not yet contacted the committee. Seniors dues may also be paid at this booth.

Two Plays Auditioned for WHK Slot in Place of WADC Run

Room quest by Palmer class seeks space at Merrill hall

Dr M B Palmer and six students in 466 physical chemistry occupy a temporary basement room as Merrill hall undergoes renovation. With the S R O sign out front, the class has wandered campus seeking a permanent room and even stormed the registrar's office to regain space.

McGilvrey Hall to Open by June Fifteenth at Kent State

The university plans McGilvrey Hall to be completed and ready for use by June 15 with all rooms furnished. The $1,000,000 building will feature modern laboratories and desks, while landscaping proceeds on grounds including a new 10-foot sidewalk to Summit Street.

Tuberculin Patch Test Shown Reliable for Schools

Dr. A. O. DeWeese reports that a patch test matches the 0.1 mgm Mantoux standard in reliability and could replace the smaller dose in schools. In a study of 635 students, 205 (32.2%) had positive reactions, with 40% reacting to both tests and 4% only to patch tests, supporting broader use.

NYA Application Blanks Ready In Placement Office

Students employed under the National Youth Administration may apply for work during the 1940-41 school year. Those who filed last year may reap ply with form 304 from the placement office, per Dr. Lester Munzenmayer NYA committee chair. Early filing is advised as continuation is presumed though not guaranteed.
