Fred Sparks, foreign correspondent for the Chicago Daily News, will open the 11th annual Short Course in press photography on March 18. About 250 participants from 22 states and Canada attend March 18 to 21 with talks on color photography, cover shots by Philippe Halsman, small roll films, and panels on sports and print quality. An estimated 199 seniors will graduate this March from the university’s three colleges. The College of Business Administration awards 37 degrees, College of Education 33, and College of Liberal Arts 29. The Graduate School has no March graduates, offering degrees only in July and September.
