The Independent party unanimously ratified a six article constitution to establish an executive council with a chairman four vice chairmen and a secretary treasurer A constitutional committee nomination committee finance and registration committee and publicity committee were created Joe Hart presented the document Miss Virginia Hedeen was elected temporary secretary A further meeting is set for March 12 to discuss the Independent candidate for Miss Kent State.

Flu Brings Proof KSU Lacks Good Hospital
In a second installment of What Kent State Needs and Why Frank Petee notes the flu outbreak test showed Kent State s health services are strained. During a January two week period over 250 students reported illness with 200 sent home due to limited infirmary facilities. The 50 remaining were treated in Moulton hall where the infirmary has stood since 1924. Dr A O DeWeese urged a modern student health facility after influenza efforts.

Three Kent pilots have completed an instructor course at Akron airport and await word to begin a cross country course of 40 flying hours. Leonard Pomeroy Barney Shields and Bert Taylor finished final tests after 30 hours of intensive instruction and 35 hours of ground school. Bill Richards will finish later in the week.

Flight Course Kicks Off Today for 20 Students
Flight instruction for the primary CPT course begins today at Mid City airport. Rudy Van Devers, president of Akron Airways, announced the plan. Two groups of ten students train under instructors DuVre and Tom Herman.
