Kent State University wins the Northeastern Ohio Debate tournament for the fourth consecutive year at Notre Dame College for Women in Cleveland. The affirmative team of Marjorie Jacot and Ernestine Baumgardner and the negative team of John Powell and Vernon Beal swept all eight debates defeating John Carroll University Oberlin College Westminster College Baldwin Wallace College Case School of Applied Science Akron University Ohio Wesleyan Notre Dame College for Women. Oberlin and Case tied for second with six wins each.

Kent State Women Split Doubleheader With Akron WAA
The Kent State WAA team and Akron University WAA split a basketball doubleheader on March 2 in a get acquainted meeting. Kent won the opener 15-8 as both teams experimented with lineups. Akron captured the second game 12-7 after a third quarter rally. Badminton followed with refreshments served.

State Tournment Games Progress At Wills gym
Three high school teams won by rally in the class B sectional at Wills gym Saturday night. Waynesburg beat Norton 32 29. North Canton Ohio, class B champions, defeated Suffield 31 25. Hartville topped Canton St John 31 25. District play will include teams from the Orange and McDonald tournaments and from Clearview and Ashland as well as 20 class A teams. Representatives from the Akron sectional include Massillon Canton McKinley Akron St Vincent and Akron West.
