KSU Building To Begin Immediately Group Enters Speech Clinic

Twelve boys aged seven to ten entered the speech and hearing clinic as a control group for a research project led by John R Montgomery. They have stuttering, sound substitution, infantile speech, and hard of hearing issues and will give teachers practical work in diagnosing and handling such cases in classroom settings.

Beck Teaches Summer Photography Classes

Poet Wilson MacDonald to speak at student assembly

Wilson MacDonald, renowned Canadian poet, will address the student body Tuesday June 24 at 9 40 a m. He writes for London Mercury and Scribners and has lectured across the United States and Canada. All classes will be dismissed for the program per Dean Fren Musselman.

Summer short courses and conferences schedule

The custodian's school band clinic and radio institute lead the week of June 23 summer courses. Follow up with the guidance conference July 2 and reading conference July 14 to 18. Secretaries' workshop July 21 to 23 and the speech and hearing therapy institute the week of August 5.

New Hospital Heads List for University Building Plan

President George A. Bowman announced start of a new student hospital costing 230000 as part of a 2 million plus two year plan for capital improvements at the university. The state legislature allotted 1908000 for capital projects, with surplus funds and loans to finance student housing and other specified buildings.

Ligato Named Kent State Hall of Fame First Photo Honor

Philadelphia Evening Bulletin photographer Domenick Ligato receives Kent State University’s inaugural news photography hall of fame citation at spring commencement for Striker Down. The image, depicting a striker felled by police, will become a mural in the new student union and features Ligato in a accompanying portrait.
