The 1949 Booster club membership drive begins Tuesday February 1 with trophies for 100 percent participation and for the largest sales. The publicity committee requests two posters from every campus organization to be delivered to the States office by Friday. The Committee of 40 leads the poster campaign. Frank Mesek received the 1949 KSU football captain trophy at the Twin Lakes country club banquet. Retiring squad captain George Kovalick presented the award. Mesek earned All-Ohio honors for three straight years and kicked 28 consecutive conversions in 1948.
