Fraternities Plan Socials and Installations for Winter

Fraternities announce upcoming events and installations across campuses. Kappa Sigma names Gene Jacobson and Carl Tyler to key posts with district conclave planned for April including Ohio State and Denison delegates. Delta Tau Delta and Alpha Phi Beta finalize winter formats at Akron venues and Firestone Country Club with pledges hosting and alumni participation.

World Political Geography club meeting at Arts building

An open meeting for all A.F.R.O. T.C. students interested in geopolitics will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Arts building Air ROTC office. Lt. William Mason is the club advisor with charter members listed. New projects include a sand map of Russia and coloring a wall map of the Western Hemisphere.

Home Seminars Offer Small Group Faith Discussions

Faculty organize home seminars to sustain CLEW interest. Not more than seven students join one professor for weekly five week sessions. Religious goals for KSUCF address by Dr Atkinson

Dr Charles Atkinson spoke to UCFers on religious goals for KSUCF and a campus fundraising campaign to expand religious work. Janice McAllister led the worship service after the talk, with Ben Mac Donald singing Open the Gates of the Temple and organist Bob Beck accompanying.

Lens-Shutter Club to Hold Evening Meeting at Kent Hall

Lens Shutter Meets Lens and Shutter club meets tonight at 7 30 in the basement studio of Kent Hall. New salon rules will be discussed and 35 mm color slides will be shown.

Tonight a rush smoker will be hosted by Phi Gamma Theta at 132 St. Lincoln. The event starts at 8 p.m. and invites members and pledges to attend the chapter house gathering.

KSU Students In Service Get New Appointments

KSU graduates Eleanor Meck and Malcolm O Stockman receive military assignments. Meck, a 1948 journalism alumna and Randolph Field Wingspread editor, is a second lieutenant in the Air Force Reserve after serving 14 months with WAFS since March 1951. Stockman, a chemist, joins the Army Chemical Center Maryland under the Scientific Personnel program. Other Kent State students, William G Clinger and James J Homier, will undergo eight weeks training at Fort Meade Maryland in basic and advanced subjects.
