Booster club drive ends today as memberships lag

University booster drive closes today needing last minute subscriptions to clear the 1000 member goal. Fraternities sororities and dorms expected to boost totals with a final day surge. The charter BC members scroll will show top Greek and non Greek organizations. a plaque honors the best seller. Mike Friedland and his Booster orchestra will donate services to the first booster hop. BC booth hours are 10 12 and 2 4 pm. Final returns due by 4 p.m.

Home Economics Students Run Five Hour Credit Housing Unit

Four university coeds live in a three room apartment as part of a Home Management House course supervised by Miss Mabel Stoner. The tenants plan meals, clean, launder, and host guests, using bunk beds and stored furniture. A permanent university home is planned for spring once current tenants move.

Choir To Premier Hymn In Ravenna

The Ravenna a cappella choir under Caro M. March of Dimes Drive Opens at KSU Campus

The March of Dimes drive began today at Kansas State University with a goal of 10 cents per student. The Booster club booth between the atrium and Merrill hall serves as headquarters and chair man Margaret Scullion urged student donations to help combat infantile paralysis.

Theta Sigma Tau Forms After Dropping National Affiliation

Theta Sigma Upsilon has dropped its national affiliation to become Theta Sigma Tau, the fifth local campus sorority. Pledges and actives revised the constitution and ended relations with the national parent group. Pi Kappa Sigma remains the only national educational sorority on campus.

Hancock Edits New Magazine for Alpha Psi Omega

Clifford T. Hancock, senior education student, to edit a quarterly magazine named Callboard published by Alpha Psi Omega. National director Prof E Turner Stump announced the plan. Hancock, the oldest dues-paid member since 1942, has roles in six University Theater productions and serves as producer-director for Radio Workshop.

Men's Union Assembly to Feature Browns Film

The Men's Union will sponsor its first postwar student assembly on Wednesday January 29 at 3 p.m. in the university auditorium with a 45‑minute technicolor film on the Cleveland Browns. Fritz Heisler will explain the footage showing Paul Brown’s coaching and the Browns training camp at Bowling Green and ending with the 1948 championship game against the New York Yankees.

Traffic officials urge students to park cars with minimal spacing due to cold weather. Law requires only one foot of space in front and back of each vehicle.

Miss Kent State petitions open for candidates

Elections chairman Dona Mae Burkhardt announced that Miss KSU petitions for candidates are available in the student council office today. Each petition requires at least 470 student signatures to be valid and must be returned by noon Monday January 27.
