University toboggan incident injures two coeds
Two University coeds, Emily Dolence a junior and Gladys Ulch a freshman, sustained injuries on a toboggan slide this week. Dolence needed five clamps for a leg cut while Ulch required three clamps for a right arm gash. Two additional students received minor treatment, hospital officials said yesterday.

University maintenance chief Larry Wooddell said painting the auditorium should wrap up next week after slower than expected progress. The crew included wrestlers Earle Stanley Dave Paulus and Edward Roberts who helped erect scaffolding as four gray shades were chosen for the redecorating. Veteran Mason Alex Whyte Dies in Akron at 69
Alexander Whyte, longtime stone mason and founder of Kappa Mu Kappa fraternity in 1922, died at People's Hospital Akron after an operation in November. He laid the first stone for Lowry and Moulton halls in 1913 and helped build walking paths this fall. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. tomorrow at Tinker funeral home.
