Faculty And Student Committees Cooperate On Constitution
A new Student Government association constitution will not be completed until June or next Fall. The faculty committee on student government and the student council revision committee plan a completely new constitution. They will seek other schools’ constitutions for models. The structure and election method may change. Council approved February 5th election minutes and will seat new members after tests next week. The major action was acceptance of a report to be presented to the Publications Policy committee detailing discrepancies between the winter Kent Stater and Standard Operating Procedure for Student Publications. The meeting was led by vice-president Jan McGarr in President Moldovan’s absence.

Committee Approves Special Language Courses for Spring
The curriculum committee approved two new courses for foreign language spring quarter. Courses 170 and 171 in French German and Spanish run alongside 160 and 161 with same final grades. Students signing up for 170 take extra two periods weekly for one credit, totaling six credits per quarter. Aimed at conversation and reading, the plan includes a general course in German for practical knowledge without grammar, emphasizing pronunciation and reading with no prerequisites.

Silence Week Enforced By Fraternities At Rush Period
Fraternities observe a silence from noon today to noon Monday restricting speech with rushees. Bid cards will be announced by the Dean of Men's office today or tomorrow.

Eliminate Finals For Pork Barrel Skits This Year
Pork Barrel will not include eliminations this year Mary Lou Noel announced. Only two men s groups had remained in competition dropped out. American Commons Club and Delta Sigma Pi entered in independent division. Ten all girl groups and one coed cast ISA participate. Seven sororities compete Alpha Xi Delta dropped out. Four independent division groups are Moulton Engleman and Lowry halls and ISA. Chaperones and student co chairman praised the eleven remaining shows and scheduled times will serve as extra rehearsal.
