Library Opens Sundays on Trial Period
Librarian J B Nicholson announced a three Sunday test to determine if the library should stay open on Sundays. He cited a sharp drop in 2 pm to 6 pm attendance from a near 400 at opening to 150, with daily totals 1200 to 1600. He will require at least 25 percent of daily attendance on Sundays to keep the plan, otherwise weekday work only. He consented to a fifth week as the plan did not meet prior targets.

The sixth annual News photography short course at the university runs March 19 to 22 with a Friday Feb 28 judging at 7 30 p m in the university auditorium. University women must register with Jeri Petzel and district photographers will pick five photogenic models with four attendants. Pic magazine will publish the winner’s photo and award $100. Last year’s model model Betty Lou Tuttle and attendants Betty Brown Kurtz Jean Olson Beverly Myers Thomas and Cherie Willis had their photos printed locally nationwide.
