Pennies become votes as ten candidates sponsored by fraternities and sororities compete for the Duke of Kent title. The winner receives a trophy at the Kent State Western Michigan game and proceeds aid the Chi Omega university project. Past funds funded tea sets, library trees, a May queen robe, and a library display case.

Former KSU Student Marsha Meyers Dies at 19
Miss Meyers a journalism and speech student and a Gamma Phi Beta pledge died January 29 in Cleveland where she was buried last Friday. Former Kent State student attended by several KSU peers at the funeral. She was ill last quarter and withdrew. she is survived by her parents and a younger brother.

Chi Omega led all sororities with a 2.819 point average in the fall quarter, announced by Mrs. Margaret Swanson. Delta Gamma placed second at 2.738, Alpha Gamma Delta rose to third with 2.785, followed by Gamma Phi Beta 2.703 and Alpha Xi Delta 2.686.
