Bob Seese, a sophomore and student council member, was unanimously elected last Monday as Kent State’s delegate to the national five day American Student Federation convention at the University of Minnesota during Christmas vacation. A student-faculty relations committee met to discuss reallocating the roughly $21,500 in student activity fees with some groups potentially receiving more while others face cuts. The Chestnut Bair receives one dollar per registrant plus 44% of the remaining funds, totaling about $8,400.
Laurence Judd former governor of Hawaii will address students in the college of business administration tomorrow at 3 p m in the auditorium. He is executive vice president of Bowman Deute Cumming Inc San Francisco and served as Hawaii governor from 1929 to 1935. his Honolulu home is noted. All students and faculty are invited by Arden L Allyn dean.
Kent loses a hard fought 40-37 decision to Wooster as Nick Pandelis and Bud La Chaix miss the game. Wayne Griffith leads Kent with 11 points while Dan Gulgin adds eight. Wooster’s Frank Grenert scores 13 as they pull away late in the second half. The crowd of 2000 watches Kent’s defense of their conference title begin with a setback.
