Old rival factions Pan-Campus and Coalition unite to create a new party named Pan-Coalition. Gamma Tau Delta and Kappa Mu Kappa fraternities join with sororities Gamma Sigma Phi Pi Kappa Sigma and Sigma Delta Sigma. Leaders Roy Newsome and Frank Leonard announce the slate for elections on December 6.

The university maintenance department readies to clear snow with highway and sidewalk plows and manual labor for steps and landings. Salt, cinders and sand are stocked, though salt use will be sparing to protect autos and dormitory interiors.

Dancers Vote Night Fee For Social at Wills Gym

University Veterans sponsor Bob Duncan announced that social dancing will use canned music from 8 to 10 p.m. at Wills gym. Dancers must pay 15 cents and show their activity card to participate. Duncan urged cooperation to build a fund to hire a band, with potential twice monthly events if turnout is strong.

First Snow Causes First KSU Accident

The first university traffic accident of the quarter occurred when a student car struck a university maintenance truck on a back drive. Dale Rowe, student traffic manager, said the car was speeding on slippery curves and slopes, warning students to drive slowly to prevent injuries.

Brunette freshman Nancy Heiks a 19 year old business administration student and Rittman high graduate was pledged by Alpha Omega sorority nominated by Bob Beachy and elected by the football squad She expressed gratitude and love for football players The queen will be introduced at the post war Pigskin prom on December 7 from 9 to 12 in Wills gymnasium in formal attire.

Seniors Apply For Graduation In Several Colleges

Thirty-three seniors have filed applications for graduation this quarter. The College of Education leads with fourteen applicants while the Business college reports ten graduates this month. Liberal Arts dean John Reed Spicer says nine applications have been received.

Desperate Room Shortage Forecast For Next Quarter

Housing director Mrs. Rhema Fair warns the university faces a critical need for off campus rooms to house students next quarter. She calls for at least thirty rooms for women and unlimited spaces for men while a campus dormitory near the campus is promised for January 1 after six weeks delay.
