Visiting Chilean Professor Earns Fame as Editor and Author
The Chilean visiting professor has toured the United States for nine years lecturing in many universities including Ohio State Northwestern Michigan North Carolina Duke Colorado Florida and Missouri. He began as editor at a small Chilean paper owned by his brother and later worked for El Mercurio La Nacion and La Prensa. He has published short story volumes in Chile and travel essays and continues as a La Prensa correspondent. He resides with Prof George J Altmann at 317 E College St and has three sons who served in the U S during the war.
